Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation documentation
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and execute incident response plans, including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and recommend strategic improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight)
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in threat intelligence analysis and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience with network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to perform under pressure during security incidents
