Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls for network, cloud, and endpoint environments
- Prepare detailed incident response reports and recommend remediation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence to enhance defense mechanisms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk preferred)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CISM or CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize security incidents
- Excellent written communication for reporting and stakeholder collaboration
