Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and potential breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Incident response coordination, including forensic investigation and remediation of security incidents
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Generate security reports for executive stakeholders and compliance teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in threat detection
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 security operations environment
