Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and coordinate response protocols
- Develop and maintain security dashboards, reports, and threat intelligence
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC)
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with threat detection tools (IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document incident reports
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
