Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and conduct forensic investigations
- Analyze network traffic, logs, and endpoint data to identify anomalous activity
- Respond to and document security incidents according to NIST and ISO frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and mitigate vulnerabilities
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive defense strategies
- Participate in penetration testing and red team exercises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and EDR solutions
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work on-site in Detroit
