Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Analyze network traffic and logs to identify anomalous activity and potential breaches
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement security controls
- Prepare detailed incident reports and executive summaries for stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally under pressure
