Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate remediation
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop security documentation and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts
