We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dedicated weekend engineering team in Milwaukee, WI. As a Weekend Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining our enterprise systems, deploying updates, and resolving complex technical challenges during off-peak hours. You will collaborate with a passionate team of engineers to ensure our software solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software code for core business applications.
- Execute critical system deployments, patch management, and database maintenance on weekends.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues reported by the QA and support teams.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning to align weekend deliverables with business goals.
- Ensure application security and performance optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (Web or Mobile).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java and familiarity with modern frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js).
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
- Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday (5:00 AM - 2:00 PM EST) on a rotating schedule.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
