Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and AWS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and troubleshoot production issues
- Write clean, efficient code with comprehensive unit and integration testing
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential bottlenecks
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Document technical specifications and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives
- Ensure 99.9% uptime for weekend-shift critical infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Python, Django/Flask, and RESTful API design
- Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills for cross-shift handoffs
