Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze large volumes of equity options market data generated during weekend trading sessions.
- Identify statistical anomalies and emerging trends in implied volatility and open interest to support trading strategies.
- Generate daily performance reports and interactive dashboards for the quantitative research and trading teams.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve data ingestion pipelines and resolve data quality issues.
- Maintain strict data accuracy and compliance standards in all reporting outputs.
- Monitor macroeconomic news and their potential impact on options pricing during off-hours.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in financial data analysis, specifically within equity options or derivatives markets.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction; experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial) and market mechanics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently and accurately during the weekend shift.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
