Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and create user personas through interviews and surveys
- Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, developers, stakeholders)
- Present design solutions and iterate based on feedback
- Contribute to design system documentation and component libraries
- Participate in usability testing sessions and synthesize findings
- Document design processes and create case studies for portfolio
Qualifications
- Portfolio demonstrating design thinking process (even if academic/personal)
- Basic understanding of design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to feedback
- Passion for creating accessible, user-centered designs
- Available for full-time in-office training in Washington, DC
- Authorization to work in the United States required
