Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud/on-premise infrastructure including AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks
- Execute security protocols including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance audits
- Automate workflows using Python/Ansible and orchestrate containerized deployments with Kubernetes
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restores with RTO < 30 minutes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business objectives
- Mentor junior staff and document SOPs for operational excellence
Qualifications
- 5+ years in enterprise system administration with 3+ years in cloud environments
- Expert-level certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator
- Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VPNs, load balancing, and firewall configuration
- Experience scripting in Python/Bash for automation tasks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical certification
- Ability to work on-call rotation with occasional off-hours support
