Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities and anomalies during weekend hours.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, incidents, and alerts with a focus on containment and eradication.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend infrastructure.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
- Document security incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in detailed technical reports.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to ensure seamless handover of critical security events.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, GRC, or Security Engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proven experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
- Availability to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays as required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
