Responsibilities

  • Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities and anomalies during weekend hours.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, incidents, and alerts with a focus on containment and eradication.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend infrastructure.
  • Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Document security incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in detailed technical reports.
  • Collaborate with the on-call team to ensure seamless handover of critical security events.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, GRC, or Security Engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
  • Proven experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
  • Availability to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays as required.
