Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk, QRadar, and AWS GuardDuty
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with SOAR automation tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on hybrid cloud environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with network and cloud engineering teams to implement security controls
- Perform forensic analysis of security events and generate executive reports
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds (CrowdStrike, Recorded Future)
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk/QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Strong knowledge of NIST framework, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Excellent written communication for security reporting and stakeholder updates
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 SOC environment
