Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) to detect potential breaches in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure before malicious actors exploit them.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions to maintain a secure perimeter.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve overall system security posture.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports for stakeholder review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm during security emergencies.
