Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Diagnose and resolve complex system outages with minimal downtime
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell/Python and configuration management tools
- Monitor system performance using Nagios/Zabbix and optimize resource allocation
- Collaborate with network engineers on infrastructure projects and security audits
- Document IT processes, SOPs, and network diagrams
- Provide Tier-3 support for escalated technical issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server administration (2016/2019)
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP
- Proficiency in VMware ESXi and virtualization technologies
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS services
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or equivalent required
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
