Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Linux/Windows server environments across AWS and on-premises infrastructure
- Implement robust security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection
- Monitor system performance using Nagios and Splunk to proactively resolve issues
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restoration
- Automate deployment processes with Ansible and Terraform
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document IT procedures and maintain compliance with SOC 2 standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- Expert-level proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Active Directory
- AWS/Azure certification (SAA/AZ-104) or equivalent cloud experience
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Deep knowledge of network security principles (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work on-call shifts and respond to critical incidents
