Responsibilities
- Lead incident response and threat hunting operations using SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Monitor 24/7 security operations center (SOC) alerts for rapid threat mitigation
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and optimize defenses
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on SOC/analyst experience
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security, firewalls (Palo Alto/Checkpoint), and IDS/IPS
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Recorded Future/Flashpoint)
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
