Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure optimal uptime
- Diagnose and resolve network outages with rapid incident response protocols
- Implement security measures including VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and access controls
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud integration projects
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related user issues
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT/Network Engineering or equivalent certification (CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper routing and switching
- Proficiency in TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configuration
- Strong knowledge of network security best practices and threat mitigation
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud networking
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with network analyzers and diagnostic tools
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred
