Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize Linux/Windows Server environments across hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Implement robust security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and Splunk with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Automate workflows using Python/Ansible and CI/CD pipelines for scalability
- Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker)
- Document SOPs and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with junior staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux/Windows Server environments
- Expertise in AWS/Azure with hands-on experience in VPC, IAM, and EC2
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS Solutions Architect
- Advanced scripting skills (Python/Bash) and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform)
- Deep understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers)
- Proven track record in security hardening and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with experience in root cause analysis
