The Role:
We are looking for a proactive professional to lead our security operations center (SOC) efforts and enhance our defense posture against evolving threats.
Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Analyze security alerts and events within the SIEM to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our network and cloud environments.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2 to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the design and implementation of secure network architecture and firewall policies.
- Training: Provide security awareness training to employees and document security best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related IT field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and endpoint protection.
- Cloud Knowledge: Experience securing cloud environments (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings to management.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
