- Monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Respond to security incidents and implement immediate containment measures.
- Manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with local and federal cybersecurity standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems.
Qualifications
- Current Security Clearance (or ability to obtain) is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly desirable.
- Ability to work part-time hours with high availability during peak times.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
