Responsibilities
- 24/7 Threat Monitoring: Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Lead the triage, analysis, and containment of cybersecurity incidents during the night shift.
- Log Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis of system logs and network traffic to detect anomalies and malicious activity.
- Vulnerability Management: Assist in the identification, prioritization, and remediation of security vulnerabilities within the infrastructure.
- Reporting: Generate and present detailed incident reports and threat assessments to the leadership team.
- Compliance: Ensure all security measures adhere to NIST, SOC2, and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or network security.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work the Night Shift (e.g., 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Python, Bash scripting, and knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with SIEM (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings.
