Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify potential security vulnerabilities and anomalies.
- Assist in the configuration and management of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Conduct preliminary security assessments and support vulnerability scanning processes.
- Respond to and document security incidents and alerts in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement security patches and updates across the infrastructure.
- Participate in security awareness training and help educate internal stakeholders on best practices.
- Support penetration testing efforts and assist in remediation of identified issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- No prior professional experience required; we train the right candidates.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, DHCP).
- Understanding of operating systems, specifically Windows and Linux.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Eagerness to obtain industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+.
