Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust network security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation of security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud and on-premises environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Mentor junior team members and stay current with emerging threats and mitigation techniques
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, network security, or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (required), plus cloud security certs preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys), and penetration testing frameworks
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel, GCP Security Command Center)
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
