Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden systems and implement security controls
- Analyze logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents and forensic investigations
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices (CIS, NIST frameworks)
- Document security procedures and create comprehensive incident reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and common attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and firewalls
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents and maintain detailed documentation
