Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) for suspicious network activity
- Lead incident response procedures including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Perform forensic analysis on security breaches and compile detailed reports
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Develop security automation scripts using Python or PowerShell
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance assessments (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Expertise in threat intelligence platforms (Recorded Future, CrowdStrike)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Ability to prioritize incidents during high-pressure situations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
