Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of on-premise servers and cloud resources (AWS/Azure).
- System Security: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR/ISO).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, hardware failures, and network connectivity problems with minimal downtime.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell and Bash to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- User Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical escalations, providing Tier 2/3 support to internal stakeholders.
- Backup & Recovery: Design and execute robust backup strategies to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in system administration or network engineering.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or CCNA preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills to translate technical jargon for non-technical teams.
- Tools: Proficiency in Active Directory, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
