Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
- Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and deploy patches/upgrades
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python/PowerShell) and configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Document infrastructure, create disaster recovery plans, and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for network services, storage systems, and enterprise applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise system administration
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IP networking (TCP/IP, VLANs)
- Strong knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault) and virtualization technologies
- Certifications preferred: CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps, or Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure and communicate technical concepts clearly
