Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery procedures
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk, resolving incidents proactively
- Deploy and configure network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN) and storage solutions
- Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Document IT infrastructure and create SOPs for system administration tasks
- Provide Level 3 support for escalated technical issues and user requests
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server and Linux
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios) and ITIL practices
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and system issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
