Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (Ubuntu/CentOS).
- Implement and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect organizational data.
- Oversee Active Directory administration, including user provisioning, group policies, and account management.
- Monitor system performance and health using tools like Nagios or Zabbix; proactively troubleshoot hardware and software failures.
- Develop and execute backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with the IT team to deploy and manage virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Automate routine IT tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi) and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Familiarity with network hardware (Cisco/Juniper) and cabling standards.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell preferred) and basic scripting logic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is a plus.
