Responsibilities
- Weekend Operations: Manage and execute critical software deployments, patches, and maintenance tasks on weekends with zero downtime.
- System Maintenance: Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving bugs or technical issues outside of standard business hours.
- Code Optimization: Review and refactor legacy code to improve efficiency, security, and scalability during the off-peak period.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Product and QA teams to ensure weekend releases meet quality standards and align with business goals.
- On-Call Support: Provide technical support for urgent incidents that may arise during weekend shifts.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and runbooks for weekend procedures and incident responses.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend or full-stack development.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday) and be willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Technologies: Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or C#. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Relocation: Candidates must be willing to relocate to Phoenix, AZ and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
