Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architecture using Java/Spring Boot and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Develop RESTful APIs and optimize database performance for high-traffic applications
- Lead weekend sprint planning, code reviews, and deployment of production releases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation best practices
- Participate in agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 4+ years of backend development experience
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, caching strategies, and API design principles
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts while maintaining team collaboration
- Excellent problem-solving skills and commitment to clean, maintainable code
