Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Perform critical system updates, patching, and hardware maintenance during off-peak weekend hours to ensure zero downtime.
- Code Deployment: Execute automated and manual deployment pipelines for equity options trading engines, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Monitor system health, latency, and throughput metrics, responding immediately to any anomalies in the trading infrastructure.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize backend code to maintain sub-millisecond latency requirements during high-volume trading sessions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Monday-Friday development teams to implement bug fixes and feature requests identified during the weekend.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation of system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in high-frequency trading or financial services.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C++, Python, or Go; deep understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with financial markets, specifically equity options and derivatives, is highly desirable.
- Schedule: Must be available to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday through Sunday) as required by business needs.
- Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues under pressure.
