Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL and MongoDB environments
- Conduct weekend production deployments and system monitoring rotations
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker
- Document technical specifications and contribute to architectural decisions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Strong understanding of microservices patterns and event-driven architecture
- Experience with weekend/holiday production support rotations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- CI/CD pipeline implementation expertise
- Agile/Scrum methodology familiarity
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
