Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable backend services for mission-critical cloud applications
- Collaborate in agile sprints to deliver production-ready code with 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Optimize system performance through advanced profiling and database tuning
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical reviews
- Lead weekend deployments with zero-downtime strategies
- Contribute to open-source projects aligned with our tech stack
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development (Python/Java/Go)
- Expertise in AWS/GCP infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Proven track record with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
- Strong CI/CD pipeline implementation (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Experience working in weekend/shift-based environments preferred
- Active security clearance eligibility is a plus
