Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and maintenance of high-availability software systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, health, and security, proactively troubleshooting complex technical issues during off-peak hours.
- Collaborate with the core engineering team to prioritize and resolve critical bugs and feature requests.
- Implement and enforce CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, automated releases.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the weekend squad.
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability as traffic patterns shift.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, web development, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go).
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Demonstrated ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) on a regular basis.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
