Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java, Python, and cloud-native technologies (AWS/Azure)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliverables
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to streamline development workflows
- Conduct code reviews and optimize system performance for 99.99% uptime
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems
- Document architecture decisions and contribute to our engineering wiki
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java or Python
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in autonomous environments
- Strong communication skills with experience in remote team collaboration
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system design and implementation projects
