Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python
- Implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture on AWS cloud infrastructure
- Optimize database performance using PostgreSQL and Redis
- Lead weekend deployment cycles and incident response rotations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers during weekend on-call rotations
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements for weekend deployment workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Expertise in Java, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills for production troubleshooting
