Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-based applications using Python and AWS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Maintain code quality through comprehensive testing and documentation
- Lead architectural discussions for new feature implementations
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Expertise in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Eligibility for US work authorization and willingness to relocate to DC
