Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS
- Lead API development and database optimization for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on rotation
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and monitor system performance via Datadog
- Document technical specifications and contribute to architecture decisions
- Resolve production issues with 24/7 on-call rotation (weekend coverage primary)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years building production-grade Java applications
- Expertise in RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills with data structures and algorithms
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with async communication
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and collaboration tools (Jira/Confluence)
- Preferred: AWS certification or experience with payment systems
