Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify potential security risks within the network.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data exposure.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement security patches and configuration changes.
- Prepare and present detailed incident reports and threat intelligence briefings to stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC environment, with a strong understanding of network protocols and security architecture.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
