Responsibilities
- Lead User-Centric Design: Own the end-to-end UX design process, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and usability testing.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define product requirements and translate them into elegant design solutions.
- Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain our internal design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all digital products.
- Advocate for Users: Conduct competitive analysis and user interviews to identify pain points and opportunities for innovation.
- Present Designs: Create compelling presentations and walkthroughs to communicate design concepts and rationale to executive leadership.
- Accessibility Compliance: Ensure all designs meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards to provide inclusive experiences for all users.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 4+ years of professional UX design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating successful product launches.
- Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and prototyping tools. Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Process: Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, including personas, journey maps, and A/B testing.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Location: Must be willing to work from our Raleigh, NC office 3 days a week.
