Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both on-premise infrastructure and cloud platforms. You will be the technical lead for server maintenance, network troubleshooting, and cybersecurity protocols. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain a complex environment of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions primarily on AWS, including VPCs, EC2 instances, S3 storage, and IAM policies.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including firewall configurations, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
- Oversee network administration tasks, including VLAN configuration, routing, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python or Bash to streamline system administration tasks and improve efficiency.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute regular data backups to ensure business continuity.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior system administrators.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Network Engineer in a professional setting.
- Strong expertise in Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server management.
- Certification in AWS (Solution Architect or SysOps) or Azure is highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
