Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive security measures
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network services to ensure optimal functionality
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell/Python for routine tasks and system maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business objectives
- Document system configurations, processes, and disaster recovery procedures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, CIS) and organizational policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration and network management
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), and virtualization technologies
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid infrastructure setups
- Certifications (CompTIA Network+, MCSA, or equivalent) preferred
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting languages
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
