You'll implement proactive monitoring strategies, automate critical workflows, and lead disaster recovery initiatives while mentoring junior engineers. This hybrid role offers 3 days/week remote flexibility with mandatory on-site Tuesdays and Thursdays for collaborative projects.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy scalable Linux/Windows Server environments across AWS and on-premise data centers
- Implement automated monitoring using Nagios, Zabbix, and ELK stack for 99.99% uptime SLA
- Lead migration projects from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures using Terraform
- Design and execute disaster recovery plans with RTO < 4 hours and RPO < 15 minutes
- Manage Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO integrations for enterprise-wide security
- Conduct quarterly infrastructure audits and optimize resource utilization
- Document SOPs for network segmentation, patch management, and incident response
- Mentor junior administrators on emerging technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expert-level proficiency in Red Hat/CentOS and Windows Server 2019+
- CCNP/CCIE or equivalent network infrastructure certification required
- Advanced scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaaS/PaaS services
- CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+) preferred
- Ability to lift 40lbs for hardware maintenance tasks
