Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise servers and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure) using industry-standard tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- System Security: Implement and monitor security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics, tune operating systems, and optimize application performance to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop Bash and Python scripts to automate routine tasks, reduce manual errors, and streamline IT operations.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior administrators, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure changes smoothly.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in system administration, with a strong focus on Linux environments.
- Linux Proficiency: Deep knowledge of RHEL, CentOS, or Debian distributions; experience with kernel tuning and filesystem management.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM.
