Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN services across multi-site deployments
- Monitor system performance using ELK Stack and Grafana; proactively resolve incidents
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Automate deployment pipelines with Ansible and Jenkins for CI/CD workflows
- Document IT infrastructure and create disaster recovery procedures
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex system issues and lead incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years in system administration)
- Expert-level proficiency with Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or Azure Administrator preferred
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation
- Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and security best practices
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance for federal projects
