Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMWare, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios/Zabbix and proactively resolve infrastructure issues
- Automate workflows using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Document system configurations and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Lead infrastructure upgrade projects and vendor management initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise system administration
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure) with IaaS/PaaS services
- Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP preferred)
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities and communication skills
