Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement security protocols, patches, and compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and Splunk
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restores
- Collaborate with network engineers on firewall configurations and VPN setups
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Document system architecture and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or Microsoft Azure) preferred
- Strong scripting abilities (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
